Julianne Ramos has served as executive director of the Rockland Center for the Arts (RoCA) since 1984. Under her guidance over the last 32 years, RoCA grew from a small arts center with a single gallery into a staple of art and culture in the Rockland Community.

Attorney Rob Fellows is the president of RoCA’s Board of Directors, and spoke fondly about the influence and guidance of Ms. Ramos over the last three decades:

Julie has taken the center from a very small, nascent state to expanding it over the last 30 years to serve children and adults and started an outreach program for art in education in under-served areas. She has been instrumental in bringing such high-quality exhibits to the center that really equal exhibits in any of the museums in New York City.”

Rob Fellows and his fellow board members have begun their search to find RoCA’s next executive director. They expect to name Ms. Ramos’ successor during the first week of April.
